Outreach Ministries

- Loaves & Fishes
  St. Michael’s serves Serenity House in Framingham, a residence for women in recovery from substance abuse, and Shadows House, a shelter in Ashland. We prepare and serve a monthly meal at each house and also make weekly deliveries of breads and pastries donated by Coffee Haven. You can sign up to cook, bake, serve or all three! All food costs can be reimbursed.
- Interfaith Refugee Committee
  Working with the Interfaith Refugee Committee, our parish collected items and some of our parishioners set up an apartment for a Venezuelan family of four.
- Pride Days
  Members of our parish participate in the local pride day events throughout the month of June.
- Appalachia Book Project
  St. Michael's supports the Appalachian Book Project which collects and ships new and gently used books to K-12 public school libraries in eastern Kentucky. This mission is continuing the work of Anke and Fritz Geurtsen who managed the project for many years. To get involved or for more information contact Donna Kustron at [email protected].
- Project Linus
  Project Linus distributes handmade blankets to children in the United States who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need. Providing love, a sense of security and warmth and comfort to children is Project Linus's mission.
  
  Our youth group and women's group have made blankets for Project Linus over the last several years.
- Stockings of Hope
  
  Stockings of Hope is a project started by a member of our parish and has been going strong for over 10 years. We collect items for 60 women living in shelters located in Ashland and Framingham. We collect sweatshirts, long sleeve t-shirts, hats and scarves, leggings and socks, make-up, earrings and other items as needed. There is a team of elves that put all the items together in gift bags and deliver to the two shelters in time for Christmas. Each woman receives a 'Stocking of Hope'.
- Local Food Pantries
  Any easy way to help the local food pantries is by bringing food items to church. We have a table set up in Eva's Room, our parish hall, where we collect the food. Once a month we drop it off to one of our 5 local food pantries; Holliston, Hopkinton, Ashland, Medway and Millis.
